Joint training exercise at Bethany School near Marden
Matfield, Marden, Cranbrook and Hawkhurst crews engaged in a joint training exercise at the Bethany School on Thursday evening. The brief was to search a dormitory building on the site with four persons missing. Nobody at the school apart from organisers and the four 'casualties' knew about the exercise in order that a real life evacuation of the building was carried out. All four casualties were found and brought out and a debrief given in the school refectory. Many thanks to the Bethany School for the use of their facilities on an evening which benefited everyone involved.
